1.1 Introduction to BizControl ERP 5/6

Welcome to BizControl ERP 5. This manual basically applies to BizControl ERP 6 as well, which is totally AWS cloud enabled with a new interface, backend system and a new report engine.

This Quick Start Guide attempts to give you a very quick overview and understanding of general logic within the BizControl ERP 5 system. You are encouraged to read through this section, then look at the Table of Contents to jump straight to the section that is related to your area of work.

BizControl ERP 5 is a powerful business management system with many modules ranging from Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to back-end Accounting. The acronym ERP stands Enterprise Resource Planning, a class of software that integrates many departments in an organization together to achieve efficiency and greater productivity. BizControl ERP 5 is a complete end-to-end system, as it includes the database server, database engine, report engine, and application tier. Through 100% control of the platform, DBCSoft ensures the customer’s investment is soundly placed, without hefty price increases or new releases in every few years. Thus we always are able to build a long term relationship with our customers.

There are 2 editions available for the BizControl ERP 5, namely the Standard (Std) and the Customised. The standard edition comes with pre-defined modules that suits a wide range of industries:

1. General Trading (buy/sell)

2. Project-based (eg. Engineering, construction, services etc)

The Customised edition is further commissioned as a new project based on individual customer’s requirement. The additional costing will depend on the customization’s complexity apart from a startup charge.

The following are some of the additional modules available to the customized edition customers:

1. Consignment (eg. Supplier who consign to major retailers, hopsitals etc)

2. Servicing (eg. Hardware Servicing industries who requires contract, schedule and service chit, Marine services booking etc)

3. Production with Shipment Tracking (eg. Shipment tracking to Extruder, Second Expansion etc Plastic production, to IP based reading from PLCs)

4. Monthly Accounts Revaluation (eg for reporting to HQ for a subsidiary company. All Accounts and Per Sales Order and Purchase Order)

5. Warehouse Manager (for multiple real or virtual warehouse control)

6. HelpDesk

Based on a robust and stable platform and easy to navigate interface, BizControl incorporates the essential elements that help companies function in day-to-day business, and stores all data into a database for data mining and reporting. It is highly reliable and is used by many different industries from SME to MNC, with customers also running it 24hrs x 7 days in factory production environment.

Please kindly note that depending on the industry and modules your organization has purchased, not all features described in this manual may be present in your company’s BizControl ERP 5 System.
